Mike Benz serves as Managing Director of Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Revenue at SitusAMC, where he leads business development and client relationship management for the firm’s CRE division. Reporting directly to the Head of CRE, he plays a key role in driving growth and delivering tailored solutions that help clients navigate their most complex challenges.
With over 20 years of experience in sales leadership across financial services and real estate technology, Mr. Benz is known for building high-performing teams, launching successful go-to-market strategies, and delivering consistent, double-digit revenue growth. His leadership is instrumental in expanding SitusAMC’s market presence, optimizing operations, and commercializing new products within the CRE sector.
Before joining SitusAMC, Mr. Benz was Head of Sales, Real Estate at Advocate Technologies, an insurance compliance platform for CRE lenders. Previously, he spent a decade at Trepp, a leading CRE data and analytics provider, where he served as Global Head of Sales and held several leadership roles including SVP of Global Partnerships and Head of U.S. Bank Sales. His work spanned the CRE, CMBS, CLO, and banking verticals, where he was credited with launching new business lines and enhancing client retention.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Benz held senior roles at EDR (now LightBox), where he led the banking division and transitioned over 600 banks from data to SaaS solutions. He began his career in mortgage origination, consistently producing over $60 million annually and leading training for new loan officers.
Mr. Benz holds an MBA from the University of Mississippi and a BA from Iona University. He has also completed advanced real estate investment coursework at Harvard University and NYU’s Schack Institute of Real Estate. A recognized thought leader in CRE finance, he frequently speaks at major industry conferences including CREFC, MBA, and ABA.
