Meaningful Mentor: My dad, who is a commercial real estate broker  

“I had planned to focus my marketing career on trendy, consumer-facing companies. When I was an undergraduate at Bucknell University, my dad encouraged me to consider his industry. I did an internship and fell in love with real estate. I appreciated the energy and the fast pace. I enjoyed working with brokers to strategically and creatively shape the materials that bring their vision for a property or tenancy to life. The company hired me right out of college. My dad is also a genuine people person, and really taught me the importance of being a go-to resource for others.”

Favorite Childhood Memory: Location, location, location

“I grew up in a town on Long Island that was 30 minutes from New York City and 30 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean, and I love both places equally. I remember my dad bringing my twin sister and me to ‘Take Your Daughters to Work Day’ – commuting by train to the city, pretending we were working in his office, going out to a ‘business’ lunch. I also have really fond memories of boating, fishing, and swimming at the beach with my parents, sister and older brother.”

Next Big Vacation Destination: Italy

“I’ve never been to Europe and Italy would be my first stop, because my father’s grandparents grew up in Sicily and my mother’s family is from the north. I’d love to see the cities, tour the museums, and travel through wine country.”

On Weekends Can Be Found: Eating, running and playing in lower Manhattan

“I live in the East Village, and love exploring new restaurants, entertainment venues and activities. I spend a lot of time running along the East River and working out at the gym, and I’m an avid reader.”
